What is ANTIC?
ANTIC (Agence Nationale des Technologies de l'Information et de la Communication) is the Cameroonian public body that manages the .cm extension: it sets registration policy, runs the root servers and accredits registrars. Honowa Technologies, the company behind ZoomLab, is one of those accredited registrars.

.cm questions
How much does a .cm domain name cost?
At ZoomLab, a .cm domain name costs 7 000 FCFA per year for Cameroonian individuals and businesses, which is the official price set by ANTIC. Renewal costs the same: no hidden increase in year two.
Who can register a .cm domain name?
Any individual or organisation, Cameroonian or foreign, living in Cameroon or abroad, can register a .cm under ANTIC's naming charter. The registrant agrees that the name and its content fall under Cameroonian law.
Which documents do I need for a .cm?
Individuals: a copy of your national ID card or passport. Companies: your trade register certificate (RCCM) or articles of association, plus the ID of the legal representative. Associations: the declaration receipt. We confirm the exact list when you order, and you can send everything by WhatsApp or email.
How quickly is my .cm activated?
As soon as we receive your payment and documents, we submit the request to the registry. The name is usually live within 24 to 72 working hours; worldwide DNS propagation can then take a few more hours.
Why use an accredited registrar?
ANTIC (Cameroon's National Agency for Information and Communication Technologies) runs the .cm registry and only registers names through accredited registrars. Honowa Technologies, the company behind ZoomLab, is one of them: your name is officially registered in your own name, with no opaque middleman.
Do I really own my domain name?
Yes. The domain is registered in the name of the registrant you choose (you or your company), not ZoomLab's or your web agency's. You can transfer it to another registrar at any time.
Can I transfer my .cm to ZoomLab?
Yes. Send us the domain name: we prepare the transfer request, you approve it with your current registrar and the registrant stays the same. Your website and email keep working throughout.
What happens if I forget to renew?
We remind you several times by email and WhatsApp before the due date. After expiry, the domain is suspended (website and email go offline) and enters a recovery period during which it can still be renewed, with an extra fee towards the end. After that, it becomes available to anyone.
.cm or .com: which one should I choose?
If your customers are in Cameroon, .cm is the best choice: it instantly shows you are a Cameroonian business, builds local trust, stays short and costs less. Many businesses register both to protect their brand.
Your .cm name might still be available.
Check now: it takes two seconds.
