What data ZoomLab collects, why, how long it is kept and how to exercise your rights.

In short: we only collect the data needed to answer your requests and provide our services. We never sell it. Our audience measurement works without cookies and without storing your IP address.

This policy is drawn up in accordance with Law No. 2024/017 of 23 December 2024 on the protection of personal data in Cameroon and Law No. 2010/012 of 21 December 2010 on cybersecurity and cybercrime.

Cookie-free audience measurement
To count visits, we record the page viewed, the language, the device type, the browser and the referring website. To tell unique visitors apart, an anonymous identifier is derived from your IP address and browser, combined with a secret key and renewed every day: it cannot identify you or track you from one day to the next. Your IP address is not stored.
The Website uses no advertising cookies or third-party trackers. Only a technical session cookie, needed to secure forms, is set.
Recipients
Your data is intended solely for Honowa Technologies's teams. It may be passed on:
- to ANTIC, the .cm registry, to register a domain name (regulatory obligation);
- to our technical providers (email delivery, hosting), who are bound by confidentiality;
- to the authorities, on lawful request.
No data is sold or rented.
Transfers outside Cameroon
If a technical provider is located outside Cameroon, we make sure the transfer meets the conditions of Law No. 2024/017 and that appropriate safeguards are in place.
Security
The Website is served entirely over HTTPS. Access to data is restricted to authorised staff and password-protected, and forms are protected against bots and abuse.
Your rights
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to and restrict the processing of your data, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@zoom-lab.com stating your request; we reply within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may contact the competent personal data protection authority in Cameroon.
Minors
Our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data about minors without the consent of their legal guardians.

This policy may change. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
